Nitzanim Family Jewish Learning
At Nitzanim, Jewish learning happens everywhere — in the redwoods, on farms, around tables, and in the songs shared between generations. Children, teens, parents, and grandparents explore, create, and grow together as a joyful, values-driven community.
Who: Families with children ages 4–10. Younger siblings and extended family are always welcome.

Our Community
Nitzanim families come from all kinds of backgrounds — interfaith, queer, deeply rooted, or exploring Judaism for the first time. What we share is a love of nature, ancient wisdom, creative expression, and meaningful practice. Congregation Ner Shalom membership is not required. It is important to us that Nitzanim be accessible wherever you are in your Jewish journey.
What We Do Together
Each gathering unfolds as a kind of pop-up Jewish village — through song, prayer, nature, art, story, movement, and text. Children learn in age-appropriate groups while adults gather in their own discussion & reflection circle. We celebrate Jewish holidays beyond synagogue walls, read the land as if it were Torah, and let the cycle of the seasons illuminate the rhythms of Jewish time. The whole family comes. The whole family belongs.
Tuition & Registration
Our tuition pricing is still per family, but this year, to better reflect the costs of our programming, we’re using a new pricing structure (all options are listed to the right). Also, returning families and families with students enrolled in B. Mitzvah Academy will receive discounted rates. Please list all participant names and ages can on the registration form.
Work trade positions and partial scholarships are available — please reach out if you'd like to learn more.
Tuition & Payment
Multiple Program Discount: Families registering for 2 or more programs may apply the code MULTI to receive $150 off their total registration. (Excluding B.Mitzvah Academy + Midweek Hebrew Combo)

Policies
If you notify us at least 2 weeks in advance, we can process a full refund, deducting a 15% cancellation fee. Refunds will not be possible with less than 2 weeks' notice.
