The stated mission of i9 Sports Youth Sports Leagues, Camps & Clinics is to help kids succeed in life through sports by providing a youth sports experience that teaches the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life. The program is described as the nation’s largest multi-sport provider focused solely on high-quality, community-based youth sports programs, with over 5 million registrations in communities across the country. It offers beginner-friendly leagues in multiple sports, is available nationwide, and is committed to providing age-appropriate instruction in programs that are described as convenient for busy families. Flag football leagues frequently run year-round, and Nike Kids Camps are designed for campers ages 5–12 with age groups broken out to ensure age-appropriate skills.

Each week, one of nine sportsmanship values is integrated into practice and game play across all age groups: Respect, Positivity, Teamwork, Humility, Enthusiasm, Determination, Integrity, Inclusion, and Leadership. An i9 Sports Excellence in Sportsmanship medal is awarded to a player who best demonstrates the weekly sportsmanship value. i9 Sports is proud to support the Aspen Institute’s national Project Play initiative and has been selected as a Project Play Champion for taking meaningful actions to encourage multi-sport sampling and help grow national youth sports participation rates. It has also been selected as a Project Play Champion by the Aspen Institute’s national Project Play initiative.

Parents have shared that the program is very well run with good communication and measures to keep kids as safe as possible, including during COVID, and that they value having structured physical activity and all activities in one morning with practice, game, and fun. Parents have also noted that the program focuses on teaching good sportsmanship and respect for one another, and that their children have had a great time playing sports with no pressure about performance.
