Akula Artistic Swimming Club offers Basic, Competitive, and Elite programs. Basic includes learning basic swimming skills, body coordination, and flexibility training on land and water. Competitive focuses on routine-specific skills, foundational swimming techniques, body conditioning, and flexibility for artistic expressions, followed by mandatory competitions. Elite is a top-tier program for competing among the best athletes across the nation.
Programs
- Basic — Learn basic skills of swimming, body coordination, and flexibility training while having some fun; develop core athleticism for growth; practiced on land and water.
- Competitive — Focus on specific skills surrounding a routine; develop foundational swimming techniques, body conditioning, and flexibility for artistic expressions; followed by mandatory competitions.
- Elite — Top tier program to compete among the best athletes across the nation; honing techniques and skills with body conditioning to match so athletes can perform and compete among the best.
About the provider
The club says it is the newest USA Artistic Swimming Club in the Bay Area and is excited to teach artistic swimming to local youth. It is run by Olga Kuzhela, who is described as a Gold Medalist in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
