About
Maccabi Sports Camp offers a variety of activities for campers, including baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and gymnastics. Campers can also participate in flag football, ultimate frisbee, and gaga. Creative activities such as tie-dye, making friendship bracelets, and a talent show are also part of the program.
• Ages: 8–17 years old
• Schedule: Ten-day or three-week experience for campers grades 3–11 or a full-summer CIT program for rising 12th graders
• Location: California State University, East Bay with state-of-the-art athletic facilities, classrooms, swimming pools, outdoor spaces, and top-of-the-line food-service facilities
The camp's mission is to build strong character and a Jewish community through sports. Testimonials from parents highlight the positive experiences of their children, noting personal growth and enjoyment. The leadership team includes Ethan Weiss as the 2024 Head Tennis Coach, Yuval Obsfeld as the 2025 Head Soccer Coach, and Ryan Klages as the 2024 Head Swim Coach. Campers enjoy kosher-style meals with options for organic, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets, and stay in Cal State dorms structured as suites with 8 campers and 2-3 counselors.
