In this six-week beginner-friendly painting class, we’ll explore the basic building blocks artists use to create strong, interesting paintings.

You’ll learn how line brings energy and direction into a piece, how shape and form help you simplify what you see, and how texture adds life and variety to a surface.

We’ll look at rhythm and how repeating marks or shapes creates flow, and we’ll explore balance so your painting feels stable and pleasing to the eye.

Finally, you’ll learn how to create emphasis, making sure the most important part of your painting stands out clearly.

Color and Value will be integrated throughout the 6-week class additionally.
