This drawing and painting series is a good fit for the young naturalist. In addition to learning drawing and painting techniques used by illustrators, we will look at the invaluable contributions artists have made in observational science throughout history. Subjects will be depicted alongside habitat features that support proper identification.

Studio class series offer instruction in fiber arts, illustration techniques, sculpture, and more! Students are encouraged play an active role in the studio gallery, developing skills in communication, project development and, instillation. In an age defined by digital distraction and shortened attention spans, I see art as a vital way to restore patience, focus, and imagination. My curricula emphasize long-term project development, guiding students through the frustrations and triumphs of taking an idea from concept to completion. The process not only builds technical skills but also fosters resilience, pride, and the confidence to share one’s voice with the larger community.
