About
The Spanish Immersion Program offers crafts, music, movement, imaginative play, songs, role-playing adventures, conversations, hands-on projects, literacy crafts, games, art, reading, writing, and conversational Spanish. Children take part in play/pretend learning, art and crafts, rhythm activities, and other structured lessons that include developmentally appropriate pretend play, exploration, dance, and culture. All children’s classes are taught 100% in Spanish, and Spanish is spoken throughout each class.

• Schedule: Preschool and TK age drop-off classes run Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm, with additional options including a Parent and Me class on Fridays from 5:15pm to 6:00pm and Friday Club de Español Spanish classes for ages 5–8 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
The Spanish Immersion Program began in 2004 at the home of founder Blanca Lawton and established a permanent presence in the East Sacramento area in 2009. As of 2025, regular classes are held at the Land Park location, and the summer camp continues in East Sacramento. The leadership team includes founder Blanca Lawton and Owner and Director Alejandra Zepeda.
Owner and Director Alejandra Zepeda is originally from Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and has over 18 years of experience in education. The program’s mission states a commitment to complete Spanish immersion, an authentic environment to learn Spanish through creative and fun activities with educational and innovative materials, and an emphasis on appreciation for other cultures, bilingualism, integrity, and values. The curriculum is divided into Conversational Spanish, Practical Spanish and Daily Routines, Play/Pretend Learning, Hispanic Culture and Traditions, Language Workbooks, and creative subjects such as art and crafts, music, rhythm, and movement. Enrichment classes and full Spanish immersion classes for preschool-age children are offered, along with on-site preschool for ages 2.5–5 years, Saturday classes for ages 6–8 years, and a Mommy and Me class for ages 2–2.5 years. The program also offers early drop-off and late pick-up, accepts CORE, Horizon, Inspire, South Sutter, Pacific, and Visions vouchers, and organizes children’s classes in themed units. Homeschooling groups and private classes are available for families who wish to invite friends and create their own group, and registration for Saturday workshops is open with limited seats.
