City Kid Camp

At City Kid Camp we bring the knowledge and training of youth development and combine it with games, sports, the history of our awesome city, appreciation of the natural environment and let kids do what they do best – play – while safely guiding them through new locations, social situations, activities. Every day we take a field trip where every game, activity, and interaction is a chance to learn from others, develop self awareness, and feel the freedom of summer!

Growing up in a city means constant exposure to the exciting and chaotic world of human interaction. School, social media, 25 different sports and hobbies - sometimes, especially as kids, we need a break.

And today's kids grow up in a different world! The escape many of us once enjoyed running free, dusk til dawn in our city streets and parks are slipping away.  

City Kid Camp is a product of both of these realizations. The first step is being outside. Exposure to fresh air, the outdoors, and nature, combined with that feeling of infinite freedom opens the door to understanding ourselves and our true place in the world. The second step is safe spaces. While being outside alone helps the cooped-up kid craziness, learning to interact with peers and with the environment around them in respectful, confident, and responsible ways can help the shyest or most "challenging" youth begin to develop self-awareness, empathy, respect and love for one another and themselves.
