About
At SCWS, our Parent-Child program is a wonderful way to introduce you and your young child(ren), infant to 3.5 years old, to the rich, developmental approach of Waldorf Education. Song, movement, and play engage the imagination of parents and children alike and bring wonder for the changing season. These interactive classes model community and family life as parents and children gather together in an atmosphere of warmth, support and ease. Classes are nature-based and will be conducted outside on our beautiful campus with parent-child teacher Claire Roberts.
The focus of our time together will be how we can nourish ourselves as well as our connection to our littles and each other. Come share, connect, and be in community. Observation and other concepts are introduced as parenting tools where parents explore the complexities of child development and family life. Parents learn together, too, through readings and discussions of the many elements of raising young children, with themes of nourishment, imagination, wonder, play, and imitation among them. Opportunities abound for building trust and friendship with one another as families work and play collectively together in community.
