For all ages 12 and up. Youth under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone


Participants learn in an inclusive environment


  • Gain teamwork skills as part of a crew raising, lowering and stowing sails
  • Overcome your fears by climbing the halfway up the 100′ rig and going Aloft!
  •  Learn seamanship: line handling, belaying pins and pulleys & proper line coiling
  • Take responsibility for self and team mates as you sail on San Francisco Bay
  • Enjoy a lovely sail on San Francisco Bay utilizing newly learned skills


What to bring: Please send your child to ALOFT with the following items.


  • Warm layers: Jacket, Sweaters, Long pants
  • Closed toe shoes
  • Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Hat
  • Refillable Water bottle 
  • Bag lunch


Safety

  • Staff is First Aid Certified
  • Employee Background Checks
  • Carries Liability Insurance

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the event, less a 10% cancellation fee

Call of the Sea Call of the Sea

Call of the Sea is an educational non-profit that connects youth to the sea, marine science and maritime traditions. We provide on-the-water field trips, sailing summer camps, sailing skills workshops and sailing experiences on traditional sailing ships for youth, families, and individuals of all ages.
