Canyon Camp offers activities such as High Ropes, Archery, Climbing, Hiking, Kayaking, Native American Dancing, Flag ceremonies, and GaGa Ball. The program includes a dining hall with crazy skits and fun songs, as well as crackling campfires, Native American ceremonies, and an Order of the Arrow Call Out ceremony. Family Night features Native American Dancing for Scouts and their families, and flag ceremonies are a regular part of the camp experience.

Established in 1936, Canyon Camp is nationally accredited and offers a complete service camp with a challenging summer camp program and year-round camping experiences. The summer camp program includes more than 55 merit badge choices, with 3 specialty programs and 55+ merit badges across more than ten areas of camp, and week-long adventure possibilities. Canyon Camp serves Scouts in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond, and will be celebrating 90 Years of Canyon Camp and 250 Years of American Independence in 2026. A brand new high ropes course complements the zip-line installed in 2017.
Canyon Camp has a commitment to the Scout Oath and Law by helping young people develop skills to help them in adulthood. Community involvement includes the Kiwanis Work Weekend on May 3 and 4, 2025.
