iINVENT is a one-week camp where participants apply science, technology, engineering, and math to create something that enhances the life of someone else. The program includes learning about invention and the innovation process using United States Patent and Trademark Office activities, exclusive engineering design challenges, and college connection events. Participants work with Oregon State University college students who serve as invention mentors.

The iINVENT mission is to provide engaging learning experiences rooted in inclusive excellence that promote youth success. iINVENT is a free summer camp designed for rural Oregon youth, and community partners are invited to contact the program about hosting a summer camp. The program is connected with SMILE, which has been honored with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Mentoring (PAESMEM). All iINVENT programs will follow applicable health and safety guidelines.
