Camp Tuku is a traditional sleepaway camp with a mindfulness approach where campers take part in activities such as yoga, innovations, archery, low ropes, arts and crafts, swimming, pet care, hiking, cooking, challenge courses, rock climbing, gardening, and music. Campers also join team-building games and activities, sing around a camp fire, work on solving challenges in the innovation program, and participate in daily mindfulness and meditation exercises. In all activities, including yoga, innovations, archery, low ropes, arts and crafts, swimming, and pet care, the program applies a mindful approach that integrates mind, body, and heart.

The program includes a focus on developing mindfulness skills, daily mindfulness and meditation exercises, unplugging from the mental barrage of digital media, and blending traditional camp activities with mindfulness exercises. Campers take part in a seed-to-table experience that includes growing food in an organic garden and interacting with farm life, along with a social-emotional learning curriculum aimed at building resilience. The curriculum has been designed with input from renowned mindfulness expert Susan Kaiser Greenland, who is listed as part of the leadership team as a mindfulness expert providing input on the curriculum. The program emphasizes sustainability practices such as tapping into renewable energy sources, conserving resources, growing organic vegetables onsite, raising free-range chickens, reusing and recycling materials, and minimizing carbon footprint whenever possible. Core philosophical principles named by the program include compassion for self, generosity and compassion for others, connection to the field, do no harm, open-mindedness, adventurous spirit, confidence, collaboration and teamwork, innovation and creativity, and path to happiness.
