• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, generally from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
The clubhouse is located in the former Phelps Dodge Mercantile in Warren. The club’s mission is to inspire, teach, and enable the youth of Bisbee and nearby rural border areas, especially those who need the club most, to have fun while realizing their full potential as productive, healthy, responsible, and caring citizens. The club was incorporated in April 2000, received its 501c3 status in July 2000, held an open house at the end of April 2002, and had its first official day serving youth on May 6, 2002. It is described as 17 years old and serves over 600 youth annually.
Leadership and governance roles include Chief Professional Officer Annette Flores, FB/Website Manager Megan Escalante, and First Executive Director Katina Lugo. Incorporators are listed as Dan Fahy (President), Sam Sorich (Vice-President), Susan Rohrbach (Treasure), and Dennis Nelson (Secretary). Board officers are listed as Tom Weiskopf (President), Bob Butler (Vice-President), Joe Delgado (Treasure), and Terry Reyna (Secretary). The club is one of two Boys & Girls Clubs in Cochise County along the international border with Mexico, and the community is described as very supportive and the club as always looking for donations.
The club participates in a Summer Program Scholarships campaign with a goal of $10,000. In this campaign, 100% of contributions are forwarded by ECC SAY, LLC to qualified charity partners along with other designated gifts. Each charity in this challenge receives a 25% matching grant, up to $5,000 collectively per organization, and additional bonus grants ranging from $5,000 for first place to $1,000 for fifth place are awarded to partners that raise the most donations. The FoodFinder app is mentioned as a resource for finding a food pantry. Testimonials from youth include, “I like doing activities like hangman, playing school with my friends, dancing, and playing twister!” from Briella R, and “It's really fun and all of our art gets hung up around the club. The art we create causes memories” from Natalie M.
