Verde Valley Oasis Reptile Ranch and Rescue, a family owned and operated private foundation, leads the camp and was founded by Christopher Nimtz and Brittney Nimtz in June 2021. Its mission is to provide education to kids and adults about native and exotic reptiles while also offering sanctuary to unwanted and rescued reptiles, including over 75 snakes, tortoises, lizards, and turtles in its care. The organization offers sanctuary to any reptiles that need a home or care and provides reptile adoption services for families who want to welcome a reptile or surrender one, and every adoption supports its mission to protect, rehabilitate, and rehome reptiles in need. Thanks For The Help is described as a proud contributor to the community of Sedona and the Verde Valley. To secure a camper’s spot, families are instructed to download the Reptile Summer Camp 2025 Permission Slip and Waiver, complete it, and email the filled-out form to [email protected].
