Mary Ellen & Robert McKee Branch – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale offers youth development programs that support a commitment to learning, positive values, healthy habits and high expectations for success as an adult. The branch includes year round sports leagues, a technology lab, an art room, and a full service teen center.
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., with after school programs for youth and teens running from after school until 6:30 p.m., and summer camp for youth and teens Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
The Mary Ellen & Robert McKee Branch is a safe, affordable place for young people during critical non-school hours and during school breaks and was the first dedicated facility to serve youth in Fountain Hills. The branch provides national award winning youth programming and programs that are uniquely developed based on the needs and interests of members. Field trips, events and programs are created to benefit teenage youth and help them grow socially and academically, while still keeping a focus on fun. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale offers teen services to members in grades 7–12, and incoming 7th graders must be 12 years old. The branch is named after longtime supporters of the Boys & Girls Club and the Fountain Hills community and proudly accepts youth from all schools. Professionally trained staff offer ongoing, caring relationships and connections to new friends, and programs reinforce a sense of belonging, personal accountability, civility and civic responsibility. The Mary Ellen & Robert McKee Branch opened its big blue doors in 2004, replacing Club services that had been provided since 1996 in classrooms at Four Peaks Elementary School. The leadership team includes Lauren Stratton – Branch Director; Celeste Izguerra – Youth Development Supervisor; Landon Sever – Sports & Fitness Coordinator; an open Teen Development Specialist position; and Leanne Zinser – Education Coordinator.
