The Goddard School of Goodyear opened its doors to students in 2009 and is independently owned and operated with an on-site owner. The school uses air filtration systems, a disinfectant sprayer, finger guards, a gate alarm, outdoor security cameras, a biometric entry device, and a non-biometric security scanner called Halo. It offers a Private Kindergarten program and uses the Wonder of Learning education program, with daily photos and updates and rigorous health and safety protocols as part of Goddard-wide practices.

The program is nationally accredited by Cognia, is Cognia STEM certified, and is a 5-Star Quality First School. The school states that it believes the start of a child's journey matters, that it nurtures community with its faculty and families, and that it believes in supporting the greater community. It has been recognized for its humanitarian efforts.
