For 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley has been creating equity and opportunity for youth through academic, social, and workforce opportunities. The organization offers affordable after-school and summer programs for more than 20,000 young people in grades K–12 across 30 Clubs in the Valley and is the largest childcare provider in the Valley. Programs are organized around four stated priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Career Pathways & Workforce Readiness, and are rooted in social-emotional development practices with a focus on building resilient young adults and developing strong character and leadership skills by creating positive connections to caring adults and their community. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley describes its programs as high-quality, affordable programs that stay open late and refers to itself as the most trusted out-of-school-time programs in Phoenix and across the Valley. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is to empower young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible members of the community. The program is staffed by caring, professional, well-trained staff, and the organization acknowledges support from Valley of the Sun United Way for quality after school programs at its Clubs.
