The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization describes its sites as a safe place to learn and grow, with ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life-enhancing programs, and character development experiences, as well as hope and opportunity. It provides access to after-school and summer programs and promotes environments where all youth feel welcomed and supported, with club members reflecting diverse socio-economic backgrounds, genders, races, and ethnicities of the communities served.

The Boys & Girls Club of Casa Grande was formed in 1998, and in 1999 it moved to a city-owned facility at 798 N. Picacho Ave. that had once been the high school gymnasium. A new after-school site opened at Arizona City Elementary School between 2004 and 2006. In 2005, Matthew Lemberg was named as the new executive director, replacing Hal Hansen, who was the first director.

The organization focuses resources and efforts in growing communities through partnerships with organizations that share its mission and vision. The Casa Grande City Council approved an increase in the local sales tax “accommodations” category and allocated a portion of these funds to the program, and it entered into a lease agreement for the use of a city-owned facility. As part of this partnership between Casa Grande and the Boys & Girls Club of Casa Grande Valley, the club ran the city’s youth soccer program.
