For over a century, the YMCA of Southern Arizona has focused on empowering youth, enhancing health and well-being, and igniting community action. Its mission is to improve the quality of human life and to help all people realize their fullest potential through the development of spirit, mind, and body.

A YMCA of Southern Arizona facility membership is valid at all branch facility locations and includes amenities such as complimentary equipment orientation, personal training, functional fitness (MX4), free Wi‑Fi, state-of-the-art equipment, and free childcare while adults work out. Across YMCA of Southern Arizona programs, more than 115 teens participated in Youth & Government and Leader in Training programs with over $70,460 in financial support, and $195,031 in financial assistance supported over 401 children in school-age programs, early childhood education, and summer day camps. At Triangle YMCA Ranch Camp, 60% of 950 campers received over $115,034 in financial assistance. An additional $135,005 in financial assistance supported Y memberships for 548 members, $11,979 in scholarships supported 150 participants in sports programs, and $10,500 in financial assistance supported swim programming in which 80% of youth earned their green swim band. In Summer Day Camp programs, 79% of youth showed improvements in literacy scores, with more than 50% showing significant advancements, and 3,251 active older adults participated in post-COVID health and connection activities at the Y. The YMCA of Southern Arizona also partners with local organizations and the Tucson refugee community to provide essential swim lessons at no cost to 80 youth through donated support.
