About

Kamp Love is a national college camping ministry that offers a 24-hour camping trip in the fall semester and a full weekend retreat in the spring semester. The program also includes year-round student leader development and is organized as a student-led campus organization.

• Ages: 18–18 years old

Kamp Love was established in 2021 after starting as a friend group camping trip at Grand Canyon University called “Camp Lope,” and it became an official nonprofit within a month of being renamed Kamp Love. Its stated mission is to reach college students with the message of the Gospel, providing an environment where they can grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and be equipped for lifelong discipleship, and to transform students’ lives by the gospel through camping, connection, community, and Christ. Kamp Love describes itself as accountable and deeply connected to the local church and states that it does not exist to serve students as the local church. As each Kamp is started, Kamp Love states that it connects with local church leaders and has them serve alongside Kamp Love in the discipling of students after Kamp. Kamp Love states a “Dream Big” goal of 100 Kamp Loves planted, 100 universities served, 100 local churches partnered, and 5 countries reached within 5 years, and it has plans to be a college ministry active across the country.
