Wild in the City Outdoor Skills Day Camp for Youth is a one-day program where participants take part in activities such as archery, wildlife identification, track making, owl pellet dissection, firearm safety and shooting, horsemanship, wildlife calling, wilderness survival, and fishing. Each participant receives six lessons that cover a range of outdoor skills, along with a T-shirt and take-home gear they can use immediately outside. The program is conducted 2–3 times a year and welcomes youth, scout troops, and kids eager to explore outdoor activities, with lunch included.

• Schedule: One-day program with registration at 8:00 am and activities from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

The program is organized by the Arizona Elk Society, whose mission is to benefit elk and other wildlife by generating resources for habitat conservation and restoration, and to preserve hunting heritage for present and future generations. The Arizona Elk Society is a registered Arizona non-profit organization and partners with the United States Forest Service, Arizona Game and Fish Department, area ranchers, and other organizations. The first AES meeting was held on June 25, 2001.
