About

Camps at Sharlot Hall Museum are history-based youth camps that take place on a campus with eleven exhibit buildings, eight of which are historic. The camps use gardens, historic buildings, and exhibits that showcase the history of Arizona heritage, and they connect with programs such as the Living History Adventure, which has a historical focus on 1870–1880. Participants are also on a campus that hosts monthly pop-up programs that are all-ages mini-programs, a lecture series uncovering stories from Arizona’s past, and access to a Research Center that is open to all without charge as a public library.

• Schedule: Pop-up programs are hosted monthly somewhere on the Museum campus

The Museum’s history dates back to 1928, when Sharlot M. Hall opened the Museum’s doors to the public. One exhibit building is included on the National Register of Historic Places. The Sharlot Hall Museum Research Center collects and preserves archaeological, cultural, and historical materials related to Prescott and the surrounding communities, Yavapai County, and Central Arizona. The campus also includes the Territorial Women’s Memorial Rose Garden, which is dedicated to pioneering and frontier women who helped settle the State of Arizona, and the Fort Whipple Museum, which is now open on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
