Dyslexia Tutoring offers dyslexia tutoring and dyslexia testing, along with teacher training, advocacy, and community engagement focused on dyslexic students. The program uses lessons created with research-proven methodologies to fit the particular needs of each individual student. It provides 1-on-1 tutoring sessions using research-based programs that are described as proven to help children and adults with dyslexia, and these programs are described as preventing the academic failure that dyslexia so often brings.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
With over 50 years of combined experience, Dyslexia Tutoring is led by a group of passionate dyslexia educators. The leadership team includes Laura Busby, M.Ed, Certified Dyslexia Specialist; Meghan Green, Certified Dyslexia Tutor and Dyslexia Specialist; and Melissa Cigelske, M.Ed, Dyslexia Specialist Certified Teacher. Staff credentials include Masters Certified Barton Tutors, Certified Dyslexia Specialists, Certified Dyslexia Tutors, Dyslexia Specialists, and Dyslexia Specialist Certified Teachers. The mission of the program is to educate and empower dyslexic students and their families. Through specific dyslexia tutoring, testing, advocacy, and community engagement, the program focuses on the dyslexic student 100%. The program notes that its educators are highly trained and certified in specific academic tutoring programs designed for the dyslexia learner, and it is available in person in several Arizona cities as well as online.
