About
Camp Krem Yosemite Summer Camp is a Main Camp program where campers stay in small groups, sharing a cabin with their counselors. Campers sleep in bunk beds in cabins as part of a traditional camp program.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Ten-day summer sessions with optional five-day A and B sessions during Session Three
Camping Unlimited, which operates Camp Krem, was established in 1957 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides camping, recreational, social, and educational services to children and adults with developmental disabilities around the year. At Camp Krem, they nurture independence and self-confidence, encourage responsibility, develop a sense of worth and respect for others, and build lifelong relationships through a warm and friendly atmosphere of planned permissiveness. Camp Krem Yosemite serves campers of all abilities, ages 5 and older, with no upper age limit, and offers different program options that accommodate varying camper support needs and interests. Travel Camp offers the experience of camp life on the road, taking campers to places in California. Bus transportation is offered between Camp Krem Yosemite and Pleasanton, CA (Val Vista Park), with a transportation fee, and families can also choose to drive their camper to camp on arrival day. Camp Krem is vendored with the Regional Center system. Most of the original Camp Krem was lost in the CZU Lightning Complex Wildfire and is undergoing rebuild, and Camp Krem Boulder Creek is not currently operating while they work to rebuild after the fire. Summer Camp Packing Lists are provided, and the Summer Camp cancellation policy includes a $250 cancellation fee after a five-day window from Confirmation of Enrollment, with an exception that waives the fee and offers a full refund or transfer to a different session if the camper tests positive for, shows symptoms of, or has contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 within ten days of their camp session.
One parent shared that their daughter had “another wonderful and exciting 10 days at Camp” and described their child as “positively giddy” at pickup, calling the session “a real milestone” and saying they plan to return next year. Another family reported that their child has had “wonderful experiences at Camp Krem” and that they see “significant growth every time she returns.”
