About
Children's Faith Formation (Kindergarten–5th Grade) includes engaging lessons, prayer, Scripture, music, activities, and community. The program offers simple lessons and joyful activities as part of its approach to children’s faith formation.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
The mission of Children’s Faith Formation states that faith is a lifelong journey that begins in childhood and grows with the support of family and parish community, and that the program helps children come to know Jesus in a personal way, learn the richness of the Catholic faith, and grow in love of God and others. The program prepares children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Its kindergarten component is known as ANGELFISH. Children in grades TK–5th grade are invited to participate in CLOW (Children’s Liturgy of the Word), which uses the Sunday readings in age-appropriate language and does not require registration, and youth aides are welcome as volunteers. Vacation Bible School (VBS) for TK–5th grade is titled “Level Up with Jesus.”
Adult Teachers and Aides must be registered members of Corpus Christi, be confirmed and actively practicing Catholics, and be fingerprinted and safe-environment cleared through the Diocese of Orange in California. The leadership team includes Brianna Solorio, Children’s Faith Formation Director; Susan Hays, Business & Facility Manager; and Father Brandon, a priest with a direct phone line listed. Adult Teachers and Aides must be safe-environment cleared through the Diocese of Orange in California. The program partners with parents, described as the first teachers of the faith, to nurture young hearts and minds and help children build a strong foundation rooted in the Gospel.
