About
Badon Tennis Academy offers Summer Tennis Clinics, a Fall Challenge Ladder, a Junior Beginner/Intermediate Class, a Mighty Munchkins class, private one-on-one lessons, small group classes, a P.E. Tennis Class, and Wheelchair Tennis. The program includes tennis lessons for all levels, from Mighty Munchkins to teens, adults, and pros, and uses a low coach-to-player ratio with very small group classes that are all socially distanced. The academy also runs a challenge ladder where players compete against each other for the top spot, and it has hosted Badon Tennis Academy’s 14th Annual Tennis Clinic.

Badon Tennis Academy has taught hundreds of players at its facility for 17 years. The leadership team includes Founder and Head Coach Veronica Badon, coach Weston Hudson, and Cy Estabrook, who is associated with Wheelchair Tennis with Badon Tennis Academy. Jean-Baptiste (J.B.) Badon, son of the founder and head coach, won the Men's title at the Canyon Lake Inaugural Open (18 and Under). The academy states, “We love tennis. And teaching is our passion!” Badon Tennis Academy encourages people in the Altadena community to sign ongoing petitions addressed to Los Angeles County Parks and Recreations. One parent shared that their daughter improved her tennis more in one week with Veronica Badon than in three weeks at another camp in South Pasadena, and that they plan to return to Badon Tennis for future summers. The program notes that tennis is described as one of the safest sports to play during the Covid-19 crisis and asks families who come for a lesson to remember to practice safe play guidelines.
