AYSO Area 2D Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that include AYSO Playground, AYSO Schoolyard Jamboree, the Core standard soccer program, the EXTRA more serious level of soccer, and the VIP (Very Important Player) program. AYSO Playground uses group activities, soccer themes, and parent participation to build fundamental motor skills, and AYSO Schoolyard Jamboree introduces 4-year-olds to basics such as kicking, dribbling, and throw-ins in a low-pressure setting. The Core program spans the U-6 to U-19 age divisions, EXTRA is for players with the interest and abilities for a more serious level of soccer, and the VIP program offers a soccer experience for kids and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to participate on a mainstream team.

AYSO is a non-profit organization that is often called “the biggest soccer club in the world,” with thriving programs in nearly 900 communities, over 50,000 teams, and 500,000 players nationwide. AYSO has various programs for different age groups and athletic needs or capabilities, and in AYSO every player on every team plays at least 50 percent of every game. AYSO runs on volunteer power with nearly 150,000 registered volunteers, and every coach, referee, Regional Commissioner, and the National Board of Directors and National President are volunteers. AYSO is structured by Regions, Areas, and Sections, and AYSO Area 2D covers Antelope, Capay, Colusa, Davis, and Winters, California, representing the central valley of California north of Sacramento including Antelope, Colusa County, Davis, Esparto, Rio Linda, and Winters.
The mission of AYSO Area 2D Youth Soccer Programs is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO’s Six Philosophies. The Area 2D leadership team includes roles such as Area Director, Assistant Area Director, Area Coach Administrator, Interim Area Referee Administrator, Interim Area Management Administrator, Area Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate, Area Scheduler & Alliance Coordinator, Area Treasurer, Area Secretary, Area Coach Trainers, Area Director of Referee Instruction, and Area VIP Administrator. Regional Commissioners serve Region 0218 – Davis, Region 0436 – Winters, Region 0884 – Antelope, Region 1312 – Capay Valley, and Region 1593 – Colusa County.
