Arrowbear Music Camp

Arrowbear Music Camp offers orchestra, band, choral, jazz, and chamber music programs, along with swimming and arts and crafts. Campers spend much of their time outdoors under a canopy of oak and pine near large granite rock outcroppings, with full group rehearsals held in canvas-covered cement amphitheaters. The camp blends a one-of-a-kind fusion of a music workshop with a classic summer camp experience in an intimate setting, with campers ranging from ages eight to early college.

• Schedule: 2026 sessions include Choral (June 14–20), Jazz Improv (June 21–27), Intro Intermediate (June 28–July 4), Elementary (June 28–July 1), Advanced (July 5–25), and Full Intermediate (July 26–August 8)

Founded in 1942, Arrowbear Music Camp focuses on creating a healthy, fun atmosphere for young people who love to make music and want to make music with others. The property includes separate sleeping areas with barrack-style dorms and bathrooms, plus additional tent cabins for larger sessions, and the closeness and arrangement of these living quarters contribute to a “one big family” group experience, with wood exteriors that blend with the rustic setting of woods and rock outcropping terrain. The alumni group awards scholarships each year to help send deserving musicians to summer camp.
