Reach For The Barres was founded in 2015 and offers dance classes, camps, private lessons, and parties, with 80+ dance classes and 500+ enrolled dancers. The program’s mission states that it views dance as a joyful part of childhood, focuses on premier dance education in a welcoming, specialized environment, and aims to teach the whole child through engaging classes that celebrate movement, music, and self-expression. The studio describes itself as an alternative to traditional dance studios, with an innovative and conceptual approach to dance education, developmentally appropriate programs, and age-appropriate dancing, music, and attire, and notes that its main season runs on a 34-week, 9-month academic-style calendar.

Summer camps and dance parties are described as joyful, age-appropriate experiences for dancers of all levels, with each camp session built around a special weekly theme that may be based on a movie, popular TV show, music genre, Broadway musical, or creative themes with unicorns and mermaids. Week-long camps and Mini Sparklers Camps are described as including basic ballet, lots of exercise to pop and hip hop music, daily theme-related arts and crafts, exciting group games, kid-friendly movies on specially themed weeks, chances to learn 5–6 dance numbers, create characters, work on acting skills, create a set, and put together an end-of-the-week show where parents are invited to a special showing on the last day. Little Stars Reach For The Barres is described as a super fun three-day camp and a perfect introduction to dance for tiny tots, with daily ballet and tap basics in a fun and positive environment, while Mini Sparklers camps are described as five days of fantastical fun that focus on multiple genres of dance in a creative and lively setting.

Primary Performance Camps are described as including a wonderful performance, daily arts and crafts, group games, friendship-building exercises, and more, and Tween + Teen Premier Performance Camps are described as intermediate-level camps that include jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop and end with a dance showcase. Dance Camp at Reach For The Barres and its Summer Dance Camp are described as the number one destination for summer and holiday camps for kids ages 3–14 and for girls and boys of all ages, including little dancers starting at age 2.5, and some families have enrolled their child every week for several years in a row. The program notes that each week has a special theme, space is limited, and Early Enrollment discounts expire.

Reach For The Barres also runs a Summer Camp Mentorship Program with Camp Counselor positions for ages 14+ and Counselor in Training (CIT) positions for ages 11–13. The CIT & Camp Counselor Program is described as a wonderful opportunity for dancers who love working with kids, want pre-professional experience, and want to be role models, with an emphasis on developing leadership skills, supporting and inspiring younger dancers, working behind the scenes, and being part of something special. Camp Counselors ages 14+ may mentor Mini and Primary Performance Camps and in some cases Premier Performance Camps, while CITs ages 11–13 may mentor Mini Camp, and the 2025 CIT Summer Camp Workshop is a required 1.25-hour session to prepare incoming CITs for their summer mentorship experience. The program states that community matters at Reach, and that it offers inclusive dance classes that gently encourage children’s self-esteem with age-appropriate expectations and the joy of dance, based on multiple-class lessons and a focus on teaching the whole child.
