About

City of Bellflower Parks & Recreation Programs include activities such as an Adaptive Recreation Program, lap swim, teen lap swim, recreation swim, and access to a weight room. The indoor pool at the Bellflower Aquatic Center is open for adult lap swim on a first-come, first-served basis, and lap swim participants should be prepared to share a lane. Recreation Swim is described by the program as “Wet and wild fun for all ages,” and children under 45 inches must be accompanied by an adult in the water during Recreation Swim.

• Schedule: Lap Swim and Weight Room are offered on multiple days and times, including mornings, midday, evenings, and Saturdays, with Teen Lap Swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm–6pm, and Recreation Swim on the second Saturday of the month through May 9, 2026.
• Price: General admission fees apply for Recreation Swim.

The City of Bellflower states its mission as “To protect and enrich the quality of life, to make Bellflower an excellent place to live, work and play.” The City of Bellflower offers an Adaptive Recreation Program at Caruthers Park and provides B.R.I.M. (Bellflower Recreation In Motion), which can be found via the B.R.I.M. tab. The City of Bellflower hosts several special events throughout the year, including Summer Streetfests, Movie Nights, and the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Valley Christian Schools connect with the City through a Business Visitation Program. Bellflower City Life magazine is a quarterly publication that highlights City news along with Parks and Recreation program information in one guide, and it was expanded from the Parks and Recreation brochure in response to community survey feedback. There is also a Pirate Park review on Fun Orange County Parks’ website and a video provided by the company that built Pirate Park.
