Kumon Math and Reading Program

The Kumon Math and Reading Program uses math worksheets, reading worksheets, and a disciplined worksheet approach to learning. Students work on activities such as pencil holding exercises, counting, writing numbers, mental calculations, addition, subtraction, “look, listen and repeat” worksheets, identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and using these parts of speech within sentences. As they advance, students solve a wide range of math problems, study complex texts in literature, and can complete math, reading, and English worksheets using a tablet and stylus through the Kumon Connect digital platform.

The program is a structured, proven self-learning program with individualized instruction, where each student progresses at his or her own pace and advances step by logical step using small-step worksheets. Kumon Programs used worldwide are based on the same approach, and many Kumon students are studying above grade level. Kumon Connect lets students complete their worksheets using a tablet and stylus, includes daily grading and real-time progress tracking, and comes with no additional fees.
