The Children's Gymnastics Program is part of a larger set of activities that includes Gymnastics and a Gymnastics Camp. It is offered alongside other youth programs such as an After School Program, Swim Team, Swim Lessons, Kids Night Out, Movies in the Park, Dive in Movies, and various seasonal camps and sports programs.

The Children's Gymnastics Program is organized by the Community Services Department, whose leadership team includes Karey Poole, Community Services Administrative Assistant; Nancy Gonzalez, Recreation Coordinator; and Dan McElroy, Community Services Manager. The department offers over 65 programs and events throughout the year for people of all ages and abilities, supported by a team of three full-time employees, thirty part-time employees, and 100 “Friends of the Park” volunteers. Its mission statement says that all strive to offer and promote recreational, educational and volunteer opportunities in a fun, safe, well-maintained environment to persons of all ages, thereby promoting good health, teamwork and accentuating a positive quality of life. The Community Services Department has collaborated with groups such as the Community Garden Committee, Inyo County Coalition on Youth Obesity, AYSO, Bishop Little League, the National Association of Youth Sports, the California Parks and Recreation Society, the Youth Sports Council, and Bishop and Mammoth High Schools to make these programs possible. The community has received recognition with the credential “Bishop Named One of the Healthiest Small Towns in America.”
