Bloomington Recreation and Park District Youth Programs include activities such as a FREE Soccer Camp at Kessler Park, multiple preschool options, a Bloomington Dance Program, seasonal egg hunts, and Meditation Classes. The program offers Preschool for 4-5 Year Olds, Preschool for 2-4 Year Olds, and community events such as the Lucerne Valley Roadrunners’ Egg Hunt and the Egg Hunt Easter – Ayala Park. It also offers Meditation Classes as part of its scheduled activities.

• Schedule: Weekly options on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with morning, midday, and evening times

The Preschool for 4-5 Year Olds meets on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. The Preschool for 2-4 Year Olds meets on Thursday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. The Bloomington Dance Program meets on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The Lucerne Valley Roadrunners’ Egg Hunt runs on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the Egg Hunt Easter – Ayala Park runs on Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Meditation Classes are held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The program follows the mission statement: “We promote the safety, health and enrichment of the communities we serve by providing essential municipal services along with diverse community based programs in an efficient and sustainable manner”. Bloomington Recreation and Park District has teamed up with Empire Strykers Indoor Soccer and works with The Department of Public Works – Special Districts in partnership with the Bloomington Recreation and Park District. Bloomington Recreation & Parks District hosted its first Summer Senior Prom, bringing together 118 local seniors at the Ayala Park Community Center. The district also highlights projects and features such as the First Summer Senior Prom, the Kessler Basketball Lighting Project, the Kessler Park Scoreboard Installation, the CSA 42 Oro Grande Park Revitalization Project, and a Plant of the Month series featuring Desert Marigold “Baileya multriadiata,” Firecracker Penstemon “Penstemon eatonii,” and Desert Agave “Agave deserti.”
