About
Camp Alonim offers activities such as horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, dance, arts and crafts, sports, and archery. Campers take part in these activities as part of a structured program based on Jewish values.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Six different overnight camp sessions ranging from one week to over a month in duration
Jewish values form the base of the Camp Alonim program, which is carefully structured to promote a warm and welcoming camp community. Campers develop and improve skills through high-level instruction and are encouraged to explore new things while learning about others and themselves. Campers grow in confidence, leadership and self-esteem, and learn camaraderie, teamwork, compromise, creativity, critical thinking and conflict resolution face-to-face. Overnight camp at Camp Alonim is described as a place where kids learn to adapt to a new environment, persevere and self-manage, and strengthen emotional intelligence. Gan Alonim Day Camp offers eight weeks of day camp every June through August, with additional services such as bus service, extended care, and special overnights.
One parent shared that their children experienced horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, dance, arts and crafts, sports, and archery and that they “had a true camp experience.” Another former camper and staff member described Camp Alonim as providing experiences and friendships that left a lasting impact. A parent of a nine-year-old reported that this is their child’s third summer at Camp Alonim and that the child calls the camp days the best days of his life.
