About

Summer Camp is a Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea–Placentia–Yorba Linda program that includes activities in education, the arts, sports and recreation, healthy lifestyles, good character, and social emotional learning. Kids can move freely through activities in different rooms and choose from a wide variety of youth development and enrichment programming. The program follows an Open Door Policy, where children are welcome to come during the hours the club is open and can choose activities based on age and personal preference, and children are in an area with staff at all times, but the Club is not a daycare facility.

• Ages: 5–18 years old (Kindergarten going into during fall through 12th grade)
• Schedule: K–12 grade program runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–6:00pm, with closure dates on Friday, August 7th and Monday, August 10th through Wednesday, August 12th
• Price: Cost for Kindergarten and 1st grade is $165 weekly or $45 daily; cost for 2nd grade and up is $140 weekly or $37 daily; families are billed weekly for program hours from 7:00am to 6:00pm, payments are due every Friday, and the Club accepts cash, checks, and credit cards, with a $25 NSF charge for insufficient funds and no further check payments allowed after two NSF incidents; youth ages 13 and older attend free

To attend the Summer Camp program, parents or guardians must watch a Parent Orientation video and completely fill out an online membership application. The Explorer Program has reached capacity and is closed to new registrations. Every child is expected to take responsibility for their own actions and choices, and children who cannot or will not follow behavioral expectations may be asked to take time away from the Club based on an escalating discipline scale, with the stated practice that no child should be permanently expelled.

Since 1962, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brea–Placentia–Yorba Linda has provided after-school and summer programs to thousands of youth. Hundreds of youth from Brea, Placentia, and Yorba Linda, ages 5–18, participate annually as members of the Brea Clubhouse, on-campus program at Travis Ranch School, and summer programs. The organization operates low-cost programs, offers an after-school transportation program and strategically located facilities, and is a registered nonprofit organization. The leadership team includes Christine Marick, Chief Professional Officer; Michaelyn Padilla, Office Administrator; and Tamara Adams, Area/Operations Director.
