El Dorado Hills Community Services District Youth Programs are offered by the El Dorado Hills Community Services District, which is the primary provider of parks and recreation services to the El Dorado Hills area. The District owns and manages approximately 553 acres of land, including 272 acres of parks and 281 acres of open space, and uses these resources to support its youth programs. The District has a full-time staff of 27 park and recreation professionals and support staff, along with over 150 part-time and seasonal employees who support its services and programs.
The El Dorado Hills Community Services District was formed on May 21, 1962. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for the El Dorado Hills community through responsible leadership and by providing superior services and facilities. The area within the current Community Services District and sphere of influence is about 32 square miles, and the District boundary encompasses approximately 28 square miles. The District’s annual budget is over $14 million, and it serves a large, densely developed suburban population located east of the Sacramento County Line and mostly north of Highway 50.
