St. Dorothy's Rest Summer Camps is part of St. Dorothy's Rest, an Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center that offers summer camps and retreats and welcomes all to restore their faith, hope, and love in a sacred space. St. Dorothy's invites children, youth, and adults, wherever they may be on their spiritual journeys, to experience and explore God's creation through summer camps and retreats. St. Dorothy's Rest celebrates and affirms the dignity and sacred worth of every camper, counselor, volunteer, and staff member exactly as they are, and programs are designed with radical belonging in mind. Gender Expansive bunking was introduced in 2019. Staff and volunteers undergo equity and diversity training. Thanks to the generosity of donors, families, and the Episcopal Diocese of California, St. Dorothy's Rest ensures that no camper is ever turned away due to cost, tiered pricing is offered for all sessions, payment plans are available, and Camperships provide additional financial assistance for families who need it. Memorial Day Family Camp is for families of all ages to get a sneak peek of what being a camper at St. Dorothy’s Rest looks like. Camp Comeback includes a color wars fundraiser that directly supports St. Dorothy’s Rest. Teen Adventure Week I includes travel to Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay for a backpacking trip, and Teen Adventure Week II includes travel to Wildcat Campground in Point Reyes for a backpacking trip. The Counselor-In-Training Program is for teens who are not ready for camp to be over and involves shadowing camp counselors during Russian River II. Registration is now open. Warm hospitality and a pace that is altogether different than everyday life allow visitors to care for their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, their God, and creation.
