About
Let’s Play in Spanish offers Spanish classes where children take part in singing, drama, stories, games, puppets, puppet shows, arts and crafts, and working on learning centers. The program also includes structured and academic activities such as Math, Language and Literacy, Social Studies, and Science, and children are immersed in the Spanish language while they are at the center.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
Let’s Play in Spanish offers in-person Spanish classes for kids, an on-demand Spanish video platform called Learn@Home, and a Spanish curriculum for schools. The program includes a Parent Participation Preschool class for families, an after-school Spanish immersion enrichment program for children in the 4½–8-year-old age group, and in-person After-school Spanish Classes that are now enrolling for Fall 2025. After-school Spanish lessons focus on improving children’s Spanish reading and writing abilities through activities such as singing, stories, games, and puppets, and a free trial class is available for these lessons. A free trial for new families is also available through the registration link for Parent Participation Preschool, and free trials are available for new families across the program. The Home Learning System is now online, and the on-demand videos use the same methods and Spanish lessons, with worksheets, that are taught in California preschools. Licensed preschool Spanish curriculum is available for preschools, kindergarten, early elementary, or daycare, and this curriculum has kept kids from 2–12 years old engaged and learning in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. Spanish classes immerse kids so they are constantly listening, talking, learning, exploring, playing, singing, and having fun in Spanish, and the program describes its environment as warm and safe, where children feel comfortable showing off their new language skills. Parents and caregivers have also learned Spanish along with their kids in Parent Participation.
Let’s Play in Spanish has been filling Spanish classes for kids in the California Bay Area for over 20 years. Founder and native Spanish speaker Susy Dorn used her degree in Child Development Education and her work as a singer-songwriter-puppeteer to create award-winning Spanish lessons for kids. Dozens of schools across the country have licensed the Let’s Play in Spanish preschool Spanish curriculum. The stated mission of Let’s Play in Spanish is to provide children with a foundation for learning a new language in a fun and positive way.
