About

Cupertino Hoops offers basketball activities for young athletes. The program includes practices and games, focusing on creating a positive culture for youth basketball.

• Ages: 9–14 years old
• Schedule: Practices: 2 one-hour sessions per week on weeknights (6pm and later); Games: Saturday and Sunday, occasional mid-week games
• Price: $350 for the season (includes uniform and photo package); $285 if reusing uniform
• Location: Sunnyvale, Cupertino, West San Jose and Campbell middle/high schools and community centers; Games at Cupertino High School

The program was founded by Jim Thompson and had its first season in 1989-90. All coaches are certified as 'Positive Coaches' by the Positive Coaching Alliance, and the organization is a long-time member of the Stanford Positive Coaching Alliance. Cupertino Hoops is an all-volunteer organization that emphasizes positive motivation and quality, paid officiating.
