SoundCheck Music School

SoundCheck Music School offers private music lessons in vocals, guitar, piano, bass, drums, ukulele, music theory, and songwriting. It also offers a live band program with rehearsals and live performances. Lessons are available in person or online, and instruments can be lent during lessons.

About the provider

SoundCheck Music School is owned by Electra Barakos and Dan Welby. Electra Barakos is a recording artist and finalist on "The Voice" of Greece, and Dan Welby is a professional touring drummer and educator. The student band "Limitless" won 1st Place at the 2026 Battle of the Bands during the Salute to Recreation Family Festival in Northridge.

Lessons are one-on-one between the student and instructor. Recommended age for guitar lessons is 7 years or older, but this is not strict. There are no commitments for trial lessons. Month-to-month payment options and pay-as-you-go packages are available for guitar lessons.
