Blossom Music Tree – Music Together Classes offers live music and movement classes that include singing, dancing, creative movement, rhythm play, instrument play, and tonal play. In each class, families take part in music and movement activities and explore rhythm sticks, egg shakers, resonator bells, gathering drums, and more.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: 6-week sessions, with outdoor classes beginning June 23rd and indoor classes beginning July 2nd
Each 45-minute class includes singing, creative movement, and rhythm and instrument play. Over the course of a session, families explore and experiment with rhythm sticks, egg shakers, resonator bells, gathering drums, and other instruments. Every family receives music and an illustrated songbook with over 25 songs and recordings, plus access to streaming music through the Music Together app, and infant siblings under 8 months attend free with a registered sibling. The summer 6-week session uses the Kazoo Collection, which includes the Spanish folksong “Tingalayo,” the rhythm chant “I Had a Little Frog,” and “Jim Jam Drummer.” Mixed Age classes for children 0–4 create a family-style environment where each child participates at their own developmental level, and classes are described as a true family music class for the youngest infant to the oldest great-grandparent.

Owner and teacher Daveen DiGiacomo leads the program as director. She has a B.A. in Music from San Francisco State University, first taught piano, band, and orchestra in Los Angeles, and discovered Music Together in 2007. Families describe Daveen’s classes as welcoming, joyful, memorable, engaging, interactive, timely, organized, and fun, and several parents note that Blossom Music Tree classes have been a highlight of their children’s early years.
