Students are welcomed into our vibrant STEM Center, where they can dive right into a variety of interactive science stations as everyone arrives. This flexible start lets kids immediately engage with activities that spark their interest.
The Lab: At the heart of our camp is the hands-on Lab, led by real scientists who are passionate about teaching. Each session begins with an engaging, interactive lesson that introduces core scientific concepts and the LabRats Code of Honor. After a brief, lively discussion and Q/A (~20 min), campers receive their own set of materials and review essential safety tips. Then, the real excitement begins: students dive into authentic experiments across chemistry, engineering, biology, and more.
Our labs are not just demonstrations-every camper actively participates, making observations, testing hypotheses, and learning through doing. This immersive, teacher-led experience is designed to build confidence, inspire curiosity, and help young scientists understand how science works in the real world
The Open Makerspace: After the lab, it’s time for Open Makerspace! This one of the things that makes our camps special. Campers have the freedom to let their curiosity take the lead and explore all our science stations, from The Ultimate Slime Station and Microscopes to the Rocket Launch Pad, Makers Tower, and Lego Robotics. Kids aren’t just following instructions; they’re choosing their own scientific adventures and what fascinates them the most. What makes this experience even more special is the support and inspiration provided by our team of real scientists.
Our staff are always on hand to help, answer questions, or even spark new ideas to get creative juices flowing. This is your young innovator's opportunity to start their own projects, invent their own experiments, or even play a game of chess with one of our skills scientists. Our well-stocked materials room ensures every young scientist has what they need to create, build, and discover.
