Raising Golfers Golf Academy Summer Camps

Raising Golfers Golf Academy Camps include learning new skills, short game and long game training with games, on-course play, and on-course competition. Campers take part in short game training, short game specialty training, and compete in events such as The Rancho or La Costa Cup and Coaches vs. Students on-course competition. The program also connects families to additional golf options through clinics, tournaments, PGA Jr. League, and private lessons.

• Ages: 6–16 years old for half day camps; 9–16 years old for full day camps
• Schedule: 5 Day Camps with half day morning (9am–12pm), half day afternoon (12:30pm–3:30pm), and full day (9am–3pm) options

Half day camps are open to complete beginners, golfers with some experience, and intermediate players, and include instruction, lots of games, and on-course play. Full day camps are for players who already have golfing experience and include the opportunity to play on the golf course every day of camp. All camps include welcome gear, and full day camps include daily lunch along with training, game play, and on-course play.

The Raising Golfers Golf Academy was started in 2021 and was founded at Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course in 2021, then expanded to a second location at Omni La Costa Resort in 2025. The Academy’s mission is “Developing Lifelong Experiences Through Golf,” with a stated goal of putting positive experiences at the forefront of coaching and planning to make each class exciting, engaging, and educational. The Academy offers programs for beginners and tournament players with big ambitions and welcomes golfers of almost any age. The community around Raising Golfers Golf Academy is described as family-friendly and positive, with a fun vibe and a place that is described as perfect to call a home away from home.

Coach Travis Howser, PGA, leads Raising Golfers Golf Academy. Omni La Costa Resort & Spa’s golf courses and facilities are described as among the best in Southern California and are the home of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships at least through 2028. Raising Golfers also has a podcast dedicated to helping golf parents, players, and coaches, sharing experiences and insights from golf parents, top coaches, players, and child development experts.
