Raising Golfers Golf Academy was started in 2021 and was founded at Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course in 2021. The mission of Raising Golfers Golf Academy is to develop lifelong experiences through golf and to make the experience with golf positive. The academy environment is described as family-friendly and positive, with a fun vibe and a setting that is described as perfect to call a home away from home, and it welcomes golfers of almost any age. Summer Camps at Rancho Carlsbad have been described as a big hit for years, and the camps are described as different and special for many reasons, including that campers learn new skills, play on the golf course, and compete in a variety of sophisticated golf games. Half Day campers experience instruction, lots of games, and on-course play, while Full Day campers play on the golf course every day of camp.
The Raising Golfers Golf Academy operates under the leadership of Coach Travis Howser, PGA. Raising Golfers also hosts a junior golf podcast called The Raising Golfers Podcast, which is dedicated to helping golf parents, players, and coaches through the journey they and their young golfer will experience, learning from golf parents, top coaches, players, and child development experts. The academy also allows locals to register for Omni La Costa golf programs based on availability even though Omni La Costa golf is typically only open to members and resort guests.
