Yoga Rascals offers kids yoga classes, after-school yoga, preschool yoga, family yoga classes, yoga for teens, tween and teen yoga, private yoga classes, and yoga assemblies for ages 5–10. The program also offers Hatha yoga classes, including Hatha Yoga Flow on Zoom and in person, as well as Yoga & Sound experiences and Sound Bath Meditation. Yoga Rascals Club provides imaginative online yoga adventures, and Yoga Rascals Summer Camps include daily yoga adventures where students learn numerous yoga poses, play yoga games, listen to imaginative yoga stories, go on nature walks, and do arts and crafts projects to take home.

Yoga Rascals was established in 2007, and its children’s yoga program is described as being steeped in 18 years of experience teaching yoga to kids. The founder, Sünje O’Clancy, MA, E-RYT, RCYT, RPYT, began teaching yoga to students of all ages in 1998 and leads the program. From the beginning, Yoga Rascals’ program was taught in preschools, elementary schools, libraries, and through YMCA community outreach, and classes are offered in the San Diego and Sacramento areas at schools, libraries, yoga studios, recreation and community centers. The program is dedicated to enhancing children’s lives through yoga by creating a nurturing and fun environment and supporting development and learning so children may realize their fullest potential.
Yoga Rascals is California’s first Yoga Alliance approved Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYS). Since 2009, the program has been training children’s yoga teachers in a small group setting, offering a 95-hour course that qualifies participants for Yoga Alliance registration as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), a globally recognized credential. Yoga assemblies for ages 5–10 are described as a big hit with students, parents, and teachers. Yoga Rascals classes are described as affordable, and partial scholarships are available to low-income families.
