Adventure Time Extended Day Care

Adventure Time Extended Day Care offers Summer Day Camp with science, sports and games, arts and crafts, computers, swimming, special guests, learning specialists, weekly themes, Friday Chef Days, field trips, workshops, and special events. It also offers a Before and After School Day Care/Enrichment Program with academic enrichment, social development, creative activities, homework help, arts, crafts, sports, games, music, drama, and cooking.

Programs

• Summer Day Camp — Children entering kindergarten through sixth grade; children must be 4 years and 9 months old by the first day of attendance and entering kindergarten in the fall, and no older than 12 years at any time during attendance · Monday through Friday; enroll by the week; half-day or full-day sessions · Science, sports and games, arts and crafts, computers, swimming, special guests, learning specialists, weekly themes, Friday Chef Days, field trips, workshops, and special events
• Before and After School Day Care/Enrichment Program — Children in grades T-K through 6 · Before and after school; Monday through Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at selected sites during the summer and on other holidays/teacher work days · Academic enrichment, social development, creative activities, help with homework, arts, crafts, sports, games, music, drama, and cooking

About the provider

Adventure Time says it has served families in the Bay Area for over 39 years and that its California-licensed program has been serving elementary school aged children and their families for over 38 years. The program states that many head teachers and all of the administrative team have been with it for over thirty years. It also states that its mission is to provide a nurturing and welcoming environment before and after school while offering academic enrichment, social development, creative activities, and fun, and that the average teacher-to-child ratio is 1 to 10.

Space is limited and is on a first signed up, first served basis. Enrollment by the week, half day or full day. Children must be 4 years and nine months old by the first day of attendance and entering kindergarten in the fall, and no older than twelve years at any time during attendance. A completed Registration Packet is required before the first day of attendance. Staff members are over 18 years of age and well trained.
