Sunrise Recreation and Park District Youth Activities offers a wide range of options including Ballet, Baby Ballet, Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1, daycare, preschool, after school programming, and multiple summer day camps such as Sunrise Summer Camps and Rusch Park Preschool Adventure Summer Camp. The program also includes Youth Drone Boot Camps, various kayaking options like Kid's Kayaking, Junior Kayaking Day Camp, Learn to Kayak, and Sunset & Full Moon Paddles, as well as swim programs such as Sunrise Sharks Swim Team, Sunrise Swans Synchronized Swim Team, Wolverines Aquatics Club, Squid Squad, Junior Lifeguard & Swim Camp, Babysitter Training & Swim Camps, and Friday Family Swim Nights. • Schedule: Friday Family Swim Nights meet on Fridays from 5:30–7:30 pm; the district office has summer hours June 1–September 30, Monday–Friday 8:30 am–4:00 pm, and winter hours October 1–May 31, Monday–Friday 8:30 am–12:00 pm and 1:00 pm–4:00 pm

Youth Drone Boot Camps are led by a team of military veterans with a passion for teaching. The Sunrise Recreation and Park District states that its mission is to be responsive to its communities’ needs for an enhanced quality of life and to advocate for positive social interactions. Community involvement includes sponsorship of Friday Family Swim Nights by the Antelope Lion's Club, the Kiwanis 42nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt with the Kiwanis Club of Citrus Heights, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, and a partnership with the Antelope Community Tennis Association to provide tennis lessons, leagues, and camps based on the latest USTA junior tennis formats. The district notes, “Thank you for celebrating 75 years with us in 2025!” The program also notes that concussion protocols are designed to protect children and adolescent athletes that participate in Sunrise Recreation and Park District programs, and that picnic and other rental requests can be submitted online.
