About
Children's Programs includes early learning activities, fun projects, spooky fun activities, and a Halloween themed dance party. The program also offers a Pizza Dinner as part of its events. Parent Playgroup is a play-based part of Children's Programs where children and their parents or caregivers join in activities together.
• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Playgroups meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00–10:30 a.m., and children can be dropped off between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. and picked up by 8:00 p.m.
In 2016, the agency opened a Family Resource Center. The agency is an active 501(c)(3). Colusa County CAPC is the designated Child Abuse Prevention Council for Colusa County and collaborates with other local entities to prevent child abuse. The agency focuses on supporting the 5 Protective Factors of the Family Strengthening Framework. The mission of the council states that it seeks a community where children are valued, nurtured and protected and will reach their full potential, where high-functioning families provide an environment that allows them to thrive, and where agencies throughout the community collaborate to provide services to children and families and support them toward achieving their goals.
