Mt. Diablo Adult Education

Mt. Diablo Adult Education offers Adult Basic and Secondary Education, High School Diploma and Equivalency (GED/HiSET), English as a Second Language, Career and Technical Education, Lifelong Education, Parent Education, and classes for Adults with Disabilities. It also offers Adult Basic Education with morning and evening classes, small friendly classes, individual attention, and free classes, plus High School Diploma classes for students who need credits and High School Equivalency classes that prepare students for the GED or HiSET tests.

Programs

• Adult Basic and Secondary Education, HS Diploma and Equivalency (GED/HiSET) — Classes help with passing an entrance exam, beginning a trade apprenticeship, or completing high school.
• Adults with Disabilities — Supports differently abled adults to reach work, educational, and personal goals, including self-advocacy and community inclusion.
• English as a Second Language — Supports adults who want to learn English in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.
• Career and Technical Education — Career and technical classes and programs that help students train for a career in under a year.
• Lifelong Education — Learning opportunities for personal interests and talents.
• Parent Education — Supports families by providing educational classes for adults, parents, teenagers, and young children.
• Adult Basic Education (ABE) — Morning and evening classes · Small, friendly classes with individual attention. Classes are free.
• High School Diploma — For students who need credits to earn a diploma.
• High School Equivalency (GED and HiSET) — Classes prepare students for the GED or HiSET tests.

About the provider

Mt. Diablo Adult Education states that it provides lifelong learning opportunities to adults of all ages and their families. Its programs are led by qualified instructors, and the program partners with many other local agencies. It is accredited or recognized by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the California Department of Education (CDE), Post Secondary Title IV (WASC), and the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE).

All new students must attend an orientation to be enrolled in classes. Registration includes orientation, assessment, and enrollment.
