• Schedule: Full-day sports camps; camp times vary depending on location, facility, and staff availability
• Price: Camp cost varies depending on the location; Sports Camps at My City Allstars are described as a premium experience that offers an affordable and diverse sports camp option

My City Allstars Sports Camps consist of children entering 1st–9th grades or ages 6–14, and some sites may offer a half-day program for incoming kindergarteners or 5-year-olds. Campers are divided into groups by age, grade, and in some cases by gender, and typical group sizes range from 13–17 campers depending on the age of the group. Kids are in one location all day, and the program notes that campers come home happy and tired, with every day bringing something new and the chance to move quickly from one sport to another if they do not enjoy a particular activity. The camp also offers a camp store each day, and Kona Ice visits if available.

High quality coaches teach skills at camp, and expert staff modify activities to enhance the individual skill level of both novice and experienced campers. Junior counselors (incoming 8th–9th graders or 13–14 year olds) play a vital role at My City Allstars and are assigned to work with head coaches, the media team, or a specific age group to teach basic game skills, be proactive, and participate in and organize activities led by coaches. Typically, two junior counselors are assigned to each group, often one male and one female, and they are expected to follow staff instructions, stay at their designated locations, and proactively participate in camp activities throughout the day. Junior counselors gain volunteer hours, receive two JC shirts included with tuition that must be worn daily, and remain under staff supervision even as they transition into more of a leadership role.

My City Allstars was founded by Tamar Hill. In 2001, Tamar started the Spartan Allstars Girls Basketball Camp as a half-day girls basketball camp, and in 2012 Spartan Allstars officially opened as a full-day, coed, multi-sports day camp. The mission of My City Allstars is to unite communities through the power of play, and this same statement is used to describe its community involvement. The program states that its vision is to instill a life-long love of fitness and exercise in all kids and lists values of respect, integrity, sportsmanship, inclusiveness, and life-long fitness.

My City Allstars introduces campers to a broad range of sports and activities, teaches children the value of cooperative team sports and sportsmanship, and encourages individual excellence in an atmosphere of healthy competition. Participants are exposed to sports and activities they might not otherwise have the opportunity to try and are encouraged to appreciate a wide range of sports, not just those that are already familiar. The program notes that overall value includes cost, quality, variety, experience, and time, and highlights an easy registration system, communication before and during camp, diversity of sport exposure, and the fact that kids are not in front of a screen all day. Multi-sports camps at My City Allstars are described as a cost-effective way for parents to expose kids to many activities without investing in equipment, and the program notes that “wear and tear” on young athletes is limited due to the cross-training nature and variability of activities.

The junior counselor program is described as a way for early teens to develop leadership skills, gain work experience, and reinforce sports skills by teaching them to others, and the program notes that aspiring campers may look ahead to becoming a junior counselor and then a counselor. Junior counselors should not expect to be assigned with their friends, as the program states this can be counterproductive to leadership development. A national study published in 2022 is cited, stating that kids ages 9–13 who participated in group and team sports had a significantly lower risk of developing mental health difficulties compared to children who only play individual sports or no sports at all, and the program notes that this research supports the need for group athletic opportunities such as those offered by My City Allstars.
